गुस्ताख है ये दिल मेरा,
जो पहले तुम्हे मिला नहीं।
है लफ्जों से ये शिकायत मुझे,
क्यों पहले तुमसे कुछ कहा नहीं।
था सदियों से तुम्हारा ही इंतजार,
ऐसा इश्क पहले कभी हुआ नहीं।
मैं रहा हूँ मकानों में कई,
मगर तुम सा आशियां कभी मिला नहीं।
मैं जिस्मों को छूकर गुजरा था बहुत,
मगर हवाओं से गले कभी लगा नहीं।
मैं भीड़ के साथ भी दौड़ा हूँ बहुत,
मगर सुकून में पहले कभी चला नहीं।
कोई जादू सा है इन आंखों में तुम्हारी,
मैं डूबकर फिर अपना हुआ नहीं।
किया था पहले भी नशा बहुत,
मगर इस कदर खुमार कोई चढ़ा नहीं।
मदहोशी में कटी है ज़िंदगी मेरी ,
तुमसा होश कभी मिला नहीं।
मैं पी गया रखते हुए यहां जाम सारे,
फिर महफिल में तुम्हारे सिवा कोई दिखा नहीं।
अब कब तक रहना है दूर ये बताओ,
इतना दर्द पहले कभी सहा नहीं।
तुम मरहम बन मुझमें मिल जाओ,
तुमसा जख्म पहले कभी लगा नहीं।
लिखी होंगी कहानियां तुम पर सभी ने,
मगर मुझसा किसी ने तुम्हें पढ़ा नहीं।
है शिकायत मुझे बस लफ्जों से अपने,
क्यों पहले तुमसे कुछ कहा नहीं।
