Excerpt from “ Aimless in Banaras “ by Bishwanath Ghosh : Death is certain. We all are born with labels that bear an expiry date. Only that we never get to look at the label.
Excerpt from “ Tuesdays with Morrie “ by Mitch Albom : Maybe death is the great equalizer , the one big thing that can finally make strangers shed tears for one another .
The above excerpts are a prove that the idea of death bears a lot of perspective. Some consider it the ultimate truth , some consider it the obvious end. But are we really rooting for it ? or are we actually interested in seeking what is actually beyond it ??
The idea of life after death is still a matter which intrigues a lot many of us. We still are looking for something which actually fits to our idea of after life. There are many mouths saying a 100 different versions of life after death, some consider it to be a science while some call it religious blasphemy.
However , a recent study says that our soul immediately after death go through an interim subtle region in the universe known as the “ Region of Dead “ it is believed that in this region the subtle body gets accustomed to it’s new state without a gross body.
Now , this information here suggests to its readers that souls after leaving the earth resides in it’s region of death which is actually a realm in between the earth and the heaven. So they suggest that there is a possibility of life after death, that the departed soul do have a place to go after leaving this earth.
If we go back in history , there exist a lot many faiths , believes and traditions which talks about life after death. One such faith which interests me is the faith followed by the Celts, they are 1000 year old a cult who worshipped pagan gods ( tradition of worshiping the natural phenomenon like the sun , moon , winds etc. ) celts believed in life after death because it was traced that they buried food , weapons and ornaments with the dead. The priests of the celts known as Druids , they preached the idea of transmigration of souls after death and also discussed about the nature and the power of gods.
Now if we travel back in the current times, the idea of death and after life is very beautifully compiled by the very humble Sadguru , “ When someone dies we say , This person is no more , That is not true . The person is no more the way you know them , but they still very much exist . The physical body will fall apart , but the mental body go on, depending upon the strength of the karma “.
These words by Sadguru are layered in itself , the reader needs to peel out each of these layers word by word only to find out that how artistically sadguru has put forward the idea of life after death. Indeed the dead person is not infront of us right now but that does not mean that the person donot exist anymore, he or she exists but in some other form. The line “ the person is no more the way you know them “ is actually an indication which explains that souls start their eternal life after death, some take other forms , some just remain free from taking any birth, but they surely do exist.
The journey of a soul from birth to ending their earthly life to life after death is still a thing which people all around the globe is trying to figure out. People from every field is working on it from tantriks to scientists every one of us is intrigued to find out how does the journey happens to continue ones you stop breathing.
But at the end , it is only and only death which makes even the richest man on earth leave their expensive possessions behind and lie down amongst all those strangers which might or might not be as rich or as powerful as him.
That is my friend how death looks upon each one of us.
