The happy swing.

You know that swing ,
That gives you berth to place yourself,
Without the care of the world,
To just sit there by yourself.

It's like you've got wings ,
But you wanna rest for a while.
Away from so many things,
That might harm your peace & smile.

Things that stress you out ,
Things you never talk out loud.

Things that you don't even know about.

And things that are unheard amidst the crowd.

You know you can just sit there and sing,

Forgetting everything that your heart clings.
So why not call it the happy swing,

Why not stay there until your peace begins.

As your peace must always be your priority,
No one and nothing else must take it's authority.

So before your anxiety starts to ring,
Go beloved, go find your happy swing.

I am Shaistha Mehdi , Currently pursuing BE. I’m a fledgling poet and writer, indulged in depicting tangled thoughts into simpler words.

As any other introvert I prefer solitude while musing on my own notions. Writing has always been an escape to me. It’s with the words I play often to unravel the depths of my soul. For me, that is all it.

Hoping to prosper this field as I can, I hope people address all the inner voices heard in my write ups.
