Nature has its own ability to cure anything and everything. However it is the humans that mess up everything…
Ever have you wondered why going a trip or atleast a long drive to a silent place soothes you? With this monotonous adulthood, people want to escape from reality and wish to travel to places. Some wish to explore new cities, some want to hide out amidst thick, dense forest, and some reach out to high altitudes.
All of us crave for the peace and quiet that comes with open, outdoor spaces, and this is for a good reason. This is because nature allows us to step away from the demands of daily life!!!In the fast moving world, electronic gadgets rule our life. Everything is available at a touch of our finger.
This has become the biggest negative in our life!!! When people feel low, they have started to isolate themselves and spend time with their electronic gadgets. Either they watch series/movies for hours together or just keep scrolling through their social media pages.
This would only create a negative impact on their health. Though it makes them feel good, this works only for a few days. After a few days into reality, again they either tend to face a burnout or a mental breakdown.
When not handled properly, people sometimes feel totally defenceless against their racing thoughts that play in their minds. At times, people feel overwhelmed as they may find themselves unable to deal with their emotional rollercoaster!
This would eventually affect their day-to-day life, work, and relationship too. These days, people face mental health problems irrespective of their age, regardless of their gender, social status, or financial situation. When unattended, it would only increase and could cause various side effects. Instead, step back from routine life… how about going outdoors or reading a book?
One can try choosing a short trip or a day break and spend time outdoors in nature. Infact, nature acts as a powerful antidepressant. It has a reciprocal effect on our health – the more we spend time in nature, the more we come to recognise ourselves.
With nature, humans can come out of any kind of mental issues. Because being in nature increases our dopamine and serotonin levels in our brain. These two are the most important chemicals associated closely with our sense of satisfaction and motivation. Also, nature helps reduce the anger, stress, aggression, and any kind of negative emotions.
Being outside amidst nature helps us to renew our spirits, comforts us, and calms down our nervous system. In fact, it encourages us to look beyond our immediate circumstances. At the same time, it helps us to process difficult emotions easily in a judgement-free zone. This also helps to handle and regulate our emotions easily.
Quite simply, nature is restorative and helps us heal from unhealed traumas and stress. At the same time, nature heals us and helps us find our emotional balance. As the saying goes ” A walk in the woods, walks the soul back home.”Ensure to take breaks whenever necessary.
Remember, just being surrounded by bountiful nature, rejuvenates and inspires us.
Because, at the end of the day, it’s YOU that matters!!!
